Russell Trust Beneficiaries 2009/2010
For the second year running the Adam Smith Foundation received a very generous £10,000 from the
Russell Trust to help committed students in financial need. Over 250 applications were received covering
all disciplines and levels throughout the college.
The criteria against which the selection is made continues to be commitment
to studies, academic achievement, excellent attendance and financial need. Each of these students clearly
demonstrated all of the above as well as identifying an excellent use for the scholarship.
The students were presented
with their cheques and certificates by Ms Iona Russell and Mr Fred Bowden of the Russell Trust at an event held on 12 January
2010.
